Who Am I? I’m MrRoadRage.
Oh, there’s nothing special about me. I’m a lot like you. I get up in the morning, get ready for my day, go to work, come home, have dinner, go to bed. Oh, and fit a few other things in between those activities that make me a bit unique from you.
I do have one flaw though…put me behind the wheel of a car, and it is all too easy for me to become an “A” type personality. I want to get from here to there as quickly as possible (aqap). I want you out of my way. And I just want you to be considerate towards others on the road. Yeah, right, like that is going to happen.
THE BEGINNING
My wife and I both have our fair share of complaints when it comes to drivers on the road. Once too often I said, “I wish someone would do something about these idiots on the roads.” This one time she blurted back at me, “why don’t you do something?”
“ME?”
“Yes you.”
And I wondered, what could I do? I seriously gave it some thought…WHAT could I do? After a bit of time I realized that there just may be something I could do, and here we are….MrRoadRage.com
Welcome!
In my life, I’ve always like to “make people think.” Common sense is very lacking in society today. TV does all of our thinking for us, we don’t have to do that like our grandparents did. So, I’ve always liked to find some way to get people to think.
Funny thing…growing up, my step-father (who by the way is wonderful man) set quite the example. He could observe someone, (like me), and then ask those um….questions, you know, those obvious questions that make you think about what you just did or said. After many years of going through that, and watching him with my younger brother and my own children, I think I have picked up on that trait…except when I go home. For some reason, like a lot of you, going home somehow puts you back into those days of old, back into those old patterns, and boom, OH NOooooo, not another stupid mistake? Perhaps you identify with that. Sometimes, I don’t like to go home because I know it’s going to happen again.
But…out in the real world, I find myself observing, and taking note of life and how often people do things without thinking…like driving. Now there is a dangerous activity……..not thinking and driving. It’s nothing like not drinking and driving, it’s just the opposite. So here I am, on a website, prepared to discuss the very thing that can put us all in a foul mood almost as soon as we get behind the wheel of a car…other drivers.
If I meet someone in a store (or anywhere else for that matter), I can get them into a conversation about other idiot drivers in a split second. I’ve heard lots of stories, witnessed a good bit of anger (long after the fact), and I just feel like maybe my wife was onto something…why don’t I do something about it?
Ok…here I am. There you are.
I’ve done my part, and will keep doing it. I now write blogs, take videos (just starting to do this) of other drivers and come back here to talk about them. My main goal…to get YOU to think. We can’t change the way the other person drives by fussing at him/her. We certainly can’t change the way a person acts…until…we change the way they think. I’m here for one reason, to raise awareness of the problems we all face on the road, and to hopefully get you to feel as strongly as I do about this crazy little thing I’ll refer to as road rage. Oh, my definition of road rage isn’t the one where people shoot each other. My definition involves the fact that driving can drive us all a little crazy, make us mad, and cause us to do and to say crazy or stupid things while driving…things that may in fact endanger the lives of ourselves, our loved ones, or of the other driver.
Here’s my slogan…are you ready for it?
Preventing the loss of life is much better than grieving the loss of life!

Yep, nothing special, I’m just like you, except…I decided to attempt to do something, to make an effort to help save lives on our highways. You can make a difference too!
